学生 of Arlington Catholic High School are invited to apply for membership to the 全国荣誉学会 at the conclusion of the first semester of their junior year.
Potential applicants will receive an invitation to the Arlington Catholic Chapter of 全国荣誉学会 if their cumulative grade point average is a 3.75岁或以上. Areas of qualification for membership include scholarship, 字符, leadership, 和服务. In order to be considered by the 教师 Council, the academically qualified students must complete the following items received in their Candidate Information Packet: Student Activity Information Form, written recommendation from a person outside of the AC community, and written recommendation from an AC faculty member. When the 教师 Council reviews students’ submitted materials, 他们考虑以下标准, but these criteria are in no way a checklist, they are only guidelines for consideration.

在选择 , the students must maintain all the 国民健康保险制度 standards, must complete five school-based service hours in their junior year, and complete thirty school-based service hours in their senior year, twenty of which must be completed by the end of the first semester. All service hours MUST be completed by May 1st for seniors and June 1st for juniors. 学生 who do not maintain and/or comply with the standards may be given a probationary period to improve their status prior to dismissal. A student who is dismissed or who resigns from the 全国荣誉学会 may never again become a member.
The dismissal procedure is as follows: Members who fail to maintain the standards, which were the basis for their acceptance, shall be warned in writing and given a probationary period to correct the deficiency. The faculty advisor will inform the member and his/her parents in writing of the nature of the deficiency, 试用期的长短, and the consequences for lack of improvement. This notice must be signed by the parent(s) of the student, and returned to the advisor. In the case of flagrant violation of school rules (ex. 欺骗、偷窃等.) or the law, a warning is not required for dismissal, but a hearing will still be held. 如果一名成员被解雇, the member and his/her parents will be informed in writing and the student has the right to appeal to the principal.
Membership in the 全国荣誉学会 is an honor bestowed upon an individual, 这是一种特权. It is neither a position for which one applies nor to which one is elected nor a right of any individual. Those selected for membership are expected to uphold the integrity of 国民健康保险制度 standards and comply with all requirements of membership.
